Protect Yourself From Fraud

Do not share personal information

We are aware that members are receiving fraudulent text, phone calls and email that appear to be coming from NHFCU.  We are not initiating these messages.  Please contact us before providing any personal or account information, even if the message seems to be from NHFCU.  Do not click on links in these text messages.

NHFCU will never send a text message containing a link asking you to:

  • Secure your account.
  • Verify your account to unlock it.
  • Prove a transaction is or is not fraudulent.
  • Provide your Online Banking username or password, authorization codes, social security number, or other personal information.

Scam artists succeed by tricking people into sharing personal information.  If you receive a communication that you think may not be from NHFCU, don’t respond to the message or click the link!  If you’ve clicked a link or provided personal information, please report it to us by calling 605-347-4527.

Please be aware that a member of our Compliance team may reach out to you by phone or text to verify a wire request signed via eSignature or a Pay Anyone (P2P) payment to a new recipient. A NHFCU staff member may also contact you by phone or text to verify suspicious debit card or ATM transactions on your account. In either case they will not ask for your account or card numbers but will verify you by asking account specific questions to identify you. This may be questions regarding transactions or products your account. This verification is for your protection to ensure you did originate the transactions and to avoid any delays in processing the transaction. You may contact our office at 605.347.4527 or by text at 605.720.6767 if you have questions regarding this information.
