Visa Transaction Alerts

VisaNHFCU debit cardholders now have the option to enroll in transaction alerts on Visa.com beginning October 14, 2016. It is easy to enroll to receive the alerts via e-mail. Simply add your card information and billing address on Visa.com. Once enrolled you can establish alert triggers. You will receive a Visa Purchase Alert in near real time via e-mail when a transaction meets your defined parameter. These triggers include:

• Individual transaction amount thresholds
• International transactions
• Card-absent transaction, such as telephone or online orders

You will receive an e-mail If a transaction meets your defined parameter. Here is an example of what your e-mail could state: “Alert. Your Visa card ending in 1234 was used at Jos A. Bank in San Francisco, CA US for $44.44.” If the transaction is unfamiliar to you, contact one of our NHFCU locations during business hours or call 1-800-535-8440 after hours to report the suspicious transaction. NHFCU takes debit card fraud very seriously and continues to be in the fore front of providing you with the tools to keep your information safe.

EMV Chip Debit Card Upgrade

emvAll Visa debit cards are being reissued with EMV micro-chip technology upon the
current card’s expiration date. Upon receipt of your new card, please destroy
your previous debit card and activate your new card immediately. Once you
begin using your new debit card, your previous card will be deactivated.
The micro-chip enables more secure processing by producing unique data
specific to your card and the transaction being processed. This safety feature
makes your new card extremely difficult to counterfeit.
