COMPLIANCE CLERK
Full time, Non-exempt, Sturgis location

Northern Hills Federal is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Compliance Clerk. A summary of this position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Responsible for ensuring that NHFCU is in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Reviews and appraises the soundness, adequacy, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, credit underwriting and membership. Assists the VP of Administration/Operations or Compliance Officer in assessing the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard NHFCU assets. Performs internal audits in correlation with the VPAO or Compliance Officer. Compiles and issues reports detailing conclusions and providing recommendations for improvement to the VPAO or Compliance Officer. Prepares and files reports with government agencies as directed by law. Contact and counsel members regarding fraud/scam situations. Assists with other duties and areas of the credit union as needed.

Education/Experience:  High School graduate or equivalent.  One year of experience is preferred, but not necessary.  Will be required to complete ongoing training in compliance or related field at NHFCU.

CALL CENTER MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Full time, Non-exempt, Sturgis location

Northern Hills Federal is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Call Center Member Service Representative.  A summary of this position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Responsible for handling a variety of member service calls and assisting with member questions and problems courteously and promptly, while maintaining NHFCU’s professional reputation. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with members, vendors, and trade professionals. Routes calls to appropriate areas as applicable. Completes and maintains related reports, records, and files. Performs miscellaneous support functions and special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience:  High School graduate or equivalent.  Excellent communication and public relations skills. Financial or Teller experience is beneficial.
