SERVICE ASSOCIATE (Teller)
Full time, Non-exempt, Belle Fourche location

Northern Hills Federal is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Service Associate.  A summary of this position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

The Service Associate is responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cashiers’ checks, money orders, and cash advances.  Balances each day’s transactions and verifies cash totals.  Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other Service Associates with a variety of duties as required.  Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served.

Education/Experience:  High School diploma or equivalent. Previous teller, cashier or money handling experience preferred.

ACCOUNTANT

Full-time, Non-exempt, Sturgis Office

Northern Hills Federal is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accountant. A summary of this position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

The Accountant is responsible for analyzing and reconciling the general ledger and maintaining accurate records and accounts, maintaining the financial books of the credit union and administering accounts payable, to include prepaid and fixed assets and investments. Must be able to research and resolve discrepancies and accounting errors. Serves as the subject matter expert for ACH and ALM accounting. Completes and submits related financial reports, summaries, and records for and on behalf of the credit union to the Executive Staff and Board of Directors, the NCUA, and the Federal Reserve Bank.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and standards as issued by the AICPA, GAAP, as well as computerized accounting applications. Two or more years of previous accounting experience particularly within the financial industry is preferred.
