US Savings Bonds

EE Bonds are reliable, low-risk government-backed savings products that you can use toward financing education, supplemental retirement income, birthday and graduation gifts, and other special events. Series EE Bonds purchased on or after May 1, 2005, earn a fixed rate of return, letting you know what the bonds are worth at all times.

Beginning in 2012, the U.S. Treasury will no longer authorize financial institutions to sell U.S. Savings Bonds.  Series EE and I bonds will both be available for purchase only through or with an income tax refund.

If you are a holder of savings bonds, you can still redeem them at a financial institution like Northern Hills FCU!
